From Olympic Gold Medalist to Broadway performer to television analyst to president of the Women’s Sports Foundation, Dominique Dawes continues on a path to inspire, motivate, and lead. Best known for her tremendous success as an Olympic gymnast, Dawes is one of only three female American gymnasts to compete in three Olympic Games. She is a motivational speaker and campaigns to support women and youth’s self-esteem and other health and wellness issues.

Bill Strickland founded the Manchester Craftsman’s Guild 42 years ago, using arts programs to help combat the effects of economic and social devastation experienced by the youth of his inner-city Pittsburgh neighborhood. Since then, the three-time Harvard Business School case study and MacArthur Genius Award winner has changed the lives of thousands of disadvantaged urban teens and welfare mothers with his world-class arts centers and career training centers, now incorporated as the Manchester Bidwell Corporation.

The designated hotel is The Westin-Indianapolis, 50 South Capitol Avenue, Indianapolis. A special rate of $105 plus tax is available the evenings of Monday (December 6), Tuesday (December 7), and Wednesday (December 8). Hotel parking garage is an additional $26 per day.

Policies
Out-of-state and non-youth serving registration
The Kids Count in Indiana Conference is intended to support Indiana youth workers’ professional development. Out-of-state registrants must prove they provide service to Indiana youth to register at the in-state fee of $150. Those who do not serve Indiana youth will be charged $450 per person to attend. Sorry, discounts not applicable.
Cancellation and substitution
To request a refund, cancellations must be received in writing no later than November 1, 2010. Substitution of attendees is allowed at any time. Only the registered participant will receive conference materials.
Expressed Release
Attendees hereby expressly release, relinquish, and forever discharge the Indiana Youth Institute of and from all claims against the Indiana Youth Institute arising out of attendance at the 2010 Kids Count in Indiana Conference and any and all related activities.
Photographs
The Indiana Youth Institute will take photographs of the 2010 Kids Count in Indiana Conference, including speakers, attendees, exhibitors, and other activities to use in marketing materials. Conference attendees waive any rights and any claims regarding the taking or publishing of such photos.
